Monthly social activities include special dinners and activities. Charity is a cornerstone of the Elks
The Elks are known for our community service, especially for children and veterans. We feature annual youth contests in free throw shooting and soccer skills, an annual Lids for Kids Safety event in which neighborhood children receive free bicycle helmets and learn about bike safety, an annual Trunk or Treat event at Halloween, and much more. New London is the proud home of Whaling Helping Whalers, a 501c3 organization that feeds the needy in New London.
